Scott Rowntree is a Field Agronomist with Pioneer, located in southern Wisconsin. He received B.S. degrees from both the Department of Agronomy and the Department of Soil Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010. He went on to complete an M.S. degree in Agronomy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012. He is a Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) and helps advise farmers on a daily basis in his role with Pioneer, focusing on seed selection, soil fertility, and pest management recommendations in corn and soybean. Since 2018, he has completed local field trials and recorded many observations to help Wisconsin corn growers manage a newer corn pathogen to the United States, Tar Spot (Phyllachora maydis).
