JP works with the global Consumer Foods team, focusing on bakery products in North America. His primary goal is to collaborate with bankers and clients to identify opportunities in the bakery sector. He achieves this by regularly engaging with food industry players, interacting with trade associations, and analyzing consumption and macroeconomic data to understand American consumer preferences and their food sourcing habits.

His recent research includes the emergence of premium bakery goods in the American market – despite inflation and consumers searching for value – and greenhouse gas emissions in the bakery sector. Before joining Rabobank, JP worked at PepsiCo, where he was responsible for sweeteners procurement in North America, and at Bunge in the US and Brazil as a sugar trader and economic researcher.
